The Conference of the Birds
Birds from around the world gather to choose their king.
They are unhappy. They are hoping for a leader who can help them of the feeling that life has no meaning.
Hoopoe, the wisest of birds, says they must find the legendary Simorgh, who will be their king.
Hoopoe tells the birds, each one representing a human frailty, that they must cross seven valleys to find the home of Simorgh.
When the birds hear the descriptions of the harsh desert valleys, they lose their hope and their strength.
Only a few reach Simorgh’s home.
There they realize that true happiness is self-acceptance.
This amazing performance combines lighting, projections, dance and puppetry, in a show for all the senses.
To enter the world of the Forman Brothers Theatre is to travel the thrilling roads where the wind of poetry blows.
