Naïve Theatre, Czech Republic

Rødhætte / Little Red Riding Hood´s Grandma is Celebrating her Birthday Today

Naïve Theatre is one of Czech Republic’s major children’s theatres. This version of the classic tale of Red Riding Hood is an especially updated, modern and humorous story for children. After 100 years, wolves have returned to the Czech forests. The youngest wolf in the pack is waiting for his first mission, one which will win him respect in the new territory.

A young hunter in training is studying for his hunter’s test in the woods that day. And for the first time, on that fateful day, a little girl whose
name came from her red hood, walked alone in the woods without her parents. The paths of three heroes (a young wolf, a hunter in training and a little girl) cross each other in a crazy finale in the middle of the woods – in a cabin where Red Riding Hood’s grandmother is celebrating her special birthday. In this performance Danish actor Patricie Homolova will narrate in Danish.

After the performance children and adults are invited
backstage to play with the show’s puppets.
