Actors from Alfa Theatre, Czech Republic

Alfa Theatre is one of the theatres which master puppet manipulation. Their well-known production ‘The Three Musketeers’ is based on this excellent technique.

For this we can thank director Tomáš Dvořák, who has worked with the actors for decades. One of the actors at Alfa Teatre, Martin Bartršek, always says: ’When I have a puppet on my arm, it becomes a part of my body.’

Experienced Alfa Theatre actors, Martina Hartmannová, Blanka Josephová, Martin Bartršek or Petr Borovský will share some of this art with participants during The Master Class at Festival of Wonder.

Participants will learn the basics of using the puppet plus simple movements like sitting, lying down, hopping, talking.

Part of the workshop will be spent learning to connect puppets with props and it will be possible to work with interaction between puppets.
